This topic really hits home with me because for years I’ve been boiling about the constant presence of these issues and how prevelant they are in super hyped books.

The video didn’t load on wp for me π so I went to youtube and watched it. As always, awesome discussion and I love the little headings π You totally hit the nail on the head with the commentary on female characters with negatively associated characteristics and your point about diversity was really well put. π I seriously love your vlogs so much!
π€π thanks!! I’m glad you like the headings too!! Your suggestion to include them even made me think while making the video where they needed to go and how I should use language to reflect that…because too often I do the “then leads me to point to…*ramble*…*finally point two*.” Lol
I’m really glad you liked the diversity part because it’s such a sensitive topic and there is so much to it. It’s so hard to pack in all my thoughts on it without talking for 20 minutes (πthe unedited video was like an hour long ππ).
I’m gonna check if the link is busted π±

I came across Francina Simone through WIPpet Wednesday and I love love love her posts. She’s started a series of vlogs which are consistently intelligent and insightful. This is my favourite but she’s also talked about how to write a scene and developing the love interest.
π thanks!
